Can psychic powers work on objects instead of people?

If you've been following this blog, most of my recent successful hits are limited to giving random people small damage like the common cold, from a distance. Another very rare side effect I have observed is that if they do not catch a cold, they become rather friendly and affectionate, but these have only happened about 1/4 of the times.

Unfortunately, I have tried "changing the parameters" to my little rituals, and nothing seems to allow me to change the effects it has on people. It's always either sickness, or some financial/emotional/personal damage, but I cannot seem to concretely specify what happens to the person or predict/dictate their next actions. I also don't even fully believe that the success I have found so far aren't coincidences as I tend to not bite into the supernatural stuff.

Anyways, what if instead of people, I experimented on non-living objects? Things such as ice cream machines, slot machines, soap dispensers etc. Well, that would kind of be the same as the old "I can make this paper rotate using my mind" beliefs, and that's not really who I am. Besides, the ritual I perform that has a side effect on people isn't really something that I can recreate on machines due to the nature of the ritual. For example, if the ritual required me to say the say the person's name in my head, it becomes impossible as machines don't have a name; we could try with serial numbers, but that's a problem for another time. 

Machines are much simpler than humans in terms of construction, so I do not think it is possible, at least not yet. For example, we do not understand 100% of the human body yet, so some things can just be attributed to miracles, we do not know if it's "connected to a bigger network in the universe" like the theorists say, or not. Oppositely, you can pick up a book and understand how computers work. You know a soap dispenser isn't just going to miraculously dispense more soap if the container is obviously empty. As such, I suspect that the lack of understanding of how something works contribute to why so called "psychic stuff" works on said things.

Also, think about it. Everything should have a logical follow-up. If a human could really perform psychic abilities on things like ATMs, slot machines etc. They would have been discovered by now. The bills have a serial number that can be traced back to them, the ATMs would be found to have something wrong with them, you don't just magically print money out of nowhere and leave no trace. Organizations such as the CIA and the FBI would probably try to weaponize you before you even get to tell the world about it. So either it is simply not possible, or even if it was, more important people have already taken hold of the people who could do such things.

New high profile targets (Oct 22/23)

I am handling more than I should, and perhaps more targets reduces the efficacy, but I must continue this for the sake of research. I have had great success with smaller unassuming subjects this month, but I would like to get back on track with testing my "powers" on higher profile targets. The assumption is that higher profile targets have more people already resenting them, so they develop an immunity as a result as they already expect some sort of "bad curse" coming their way.
