Can we develop a "procedure" to recreate paranormal events?

Why do so many paranormal stories share similarities? A lot of "wannabe psychics" get their priorities backwards and see things from an aesthetic perspective and not a pragmatic/scientific perspective. This results in them doing things like drawing pentagrams and chanting.
Just as stereotypes supposedly originate from "lived experiences", a lot of the paranormal experiences we hear today are also the result of "collective memory" that came from people hearing old paranormal stories and adding their own twists. Sometimes a person would see something in a dream and consider it a sort of divine showing, and some people undergoing a mental health crisis or psychosis may recall those things they have heard or read somewhere.
Anyways, no matter the country, there are always some common elements that seem to be repeating when listening to people testifying about paranormal events and so-called successful psychics:
- Pentagrams, drawings, geometrical shapes
- Crystals, rocks, offerings of sorts
- Chanting, recitals etc.
- Some sort of deity to pray to
- Travel the world and interviewing every person that claimed to have psychic powers
- Categorize them by claimed abilities (remote viewing, telekinesis etc.)
- Take notes of initial observations
- Find out the most common denominators that connect them all
- Try to isolate them in a room and find out if they can recreate said effects using random samples and targets/parameters
- Take more notes
- Try to get them to teach others "how they do it" to see if it is a transferrable "power"
- Do a lot of A/B testing
- Eliminate one element at a time (ex: try in a different room, try with different lighting, try with different geographic locations)
